Where's Noonie?
Then Noonie said, “Like a butterfly flitting from flower to flower, never knowing their true beauty and the life’s blood they bring.”What was she talking about? Flitting around? Life’s blood? Noonie had no clue. Did she still love me?(To get the first chapter of Where's Noonie?, hit the 'contact me' button and send a request.)
About Me
The first book I wrote was in Mrs. Reynolds' class (first grade). "There's a burglar in our window." It was a true story, but there wasn't really a burglar, just my dad playing a silly prank. From that point, I was hooked!
I have two middle-grade contemporary manuscripts, am a member of SCBWI, and CraftingKidLit. I recently won the Tassy Walden Award for middle grade. (Where's Noonie? 2026 - what an honor!)What do you like to write about? What stories do you remember? This is a picture of my dad and me. He loved to garden and play pranks. The halter top I am wearing is the first piece of clothing I sewed. Here are some of my favorite things:
Color: Blue
Food: Pasta (and chocolate, of course).
Animal: Dog
Activities: Too many to list, but writing and reading are tied for first place.
Board Games: Monopoly & Scrabble
Card Game: Setback
Place: The creek behind my house, where I grew up.
